This Privacy Policy explains what information Wicked Trucks ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use wickedtrucks.ca and related services (the "Services"), why we collect it, and how it's handled. It's incorporated into our Terms of Use by reference.

1. What We Collect

If you submit an inquiry or waitlist request

• Name, email, and phone number (inquiries)
• Which vehicle and dealer your inquiry relates to
• Email only, for waitlist sign-ups on sold or reserved vehicles

If you use the Build Yours tool

• Name, phone number, email, and postal code, so we can match you with a nearby dealer
• The brand, build, and model you selected

If you use Rex, our chat assistant

• The messages you send, which may include any personal information you choose to type

If you place a deposit

• The same contact information as above
• Deposit amount and a payment reference from Stripe — we never receive or store your actual card number

If you're a dealer

• Business name, contact info, address, business hours, logo and photos
• Banking and payout details — held entirely by Stripe Connect, never stored in our database

Automatically, from anyone browsing the Services

• Site analytics (clicks, session behaviour) via Microsoft Clarity
• Page and listing view counts

2. Why We Collect It

• To connect buyers with dealers — the core purpose of the Services
• To process and secure deposit holds
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Services
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations

3. Who We Share It With

We use the following service providers to operate the Services. Each only receives the information necessary to perform its function.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Payment Data

Card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form. Wicked Trucks never receives or stores your full card number. Stripe is independently certified under PCI-DSS, the payment card industry's security standard.

5. Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of text your browser stores so a site can remember something between visits — like staying logged in. Here's what we use:

Strictly necessary (the site won't work without these)

• Dealer and admin session cookies, so you stay logged in — stored as httpOnly, meaning JavaScript can't read them
• Stripe fraud-prevention cookies, set automatically when a payment form loads

Analytics

• Microsoft Clarity cookies, which power session recordings and click tracking so we can see how the site is used

What we don't use

• No advertising or retargeting cookies
• No cross-site ad tracking pixels
• We do not sell or share cookie data with data brokers

You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Services, like dealer login, from working.

6. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as it's needed for the purpose it was collected. Closed inquiries and leads are deleted after 24 months. Deposit records are retained longer where needed for accounting, tax, or legal purposes.

7. Your Rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion, subject to any legal obligation we have to retain it. Contact us using the details below to make a request.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed at children. You must be at least 18 to place a deposit or hold a dealer account — see our Terms of Use for full eligibility details.

9. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers, including Stripe, Supabase, and Vercel, may process or store data outside Canada. By using the Services, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in those locations.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission, access controls, and database-level security policies. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information you provide.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the update.
